# Chapter 23
When the rest of the two teams rushed over, this was the scene that greeted them.
The captain of the Wild Buffalo team saw Yu Sui's face and went pale instantly.
A scuffle between two rookies was one thing. But laying a hand on Yu Sui? That was a whole different matter.
Shi Luo froze for half a second. When he realized what had just happened, he went crazy, screaming at Bao Zaoshu, "I'll fuck your grandfather!!"
Shi Luo glanced at the nearest shard of broken porcelain on the floor. His gaze turned cold, and a crazy thought surged through his mind. Before he could move, Yu Sui, who had sensed what he was about to do, grabbed his shoulder. Shi Luo struggled, but he couldn't move an inch.
"Don't want to actually fight you for real, so behave yourself…"
Bao Zaoshu had thrown that hit hard. Yu Sui didn't even know what condition his back was in now—he was sweating cold from the pain. Yu Sui forced himself to suppress his anger, shoving Shi Luo toward Old Qiao with all his strength. "Take him to the car and lock him in."
Shi Luo was so furious his head was about to explode. "I—"
"I said," Yu Sui said coldly, "if you so much as lift another hand, I will definitely kick you off the team."
Shi Luo clenched his teeth. He didn't dare move another muscle.
Shi Luo's whole body wouldn't stop trembling. Yu Sui glanced at Old Qiao, who forced down his own anger and dragged Shi Luo away by main force.
Only then did Yu Sui turn to face the ashen-faced Bao Zaoshu.
After Shi Luo had splashed him with water, Bao Zaoshu had gotten into a shouting match with Shi Luo. He'd thought it would just be some back-and-forth cursing and they'd be done with it, but Shi Luo's temper was even worse than his. Neither of them held back when it came to trading insults, and after a few rounds of provoke, Bao Zaoshu forgot what had even set Shi Luo off—just that Shi Luo had thrown the first punch. Of course Bao Zaoshu wasn't going to just stand there and take it, and things had escalated from there.
Bao Zaoshu's voice shook. Suddenly something occurred to him, and he quickly said, "That's right! Shi Luo threw the first punch! It's not my fault!"
The sniper from Wild Buffalo swallowed hard. Seeing the situation, he tried to follow along. "If Shi Luo threw the first punch…"
"Is there surveillance?" Yu Sui asked back. "What evidence do you have that Shi Luo threw the first punch?"
Bao Zaoshu急切道,"你问他去啊!他自己肯定也承认!"
Yu Sui said, "He's already left. I could even say he wasn't here at all today. Right now I'm asking you—does this bathroom have surveillance? Can you prove that he hit you?"
"The bathroom can't possibly have surveillance…" Bao Zaoshu was completely stunned. "What do you mean? He didn't hit me, so I hit myself?! Where did these injuries on my face come from? Didn't you see them yourself just now?"
"I didn't see anything." Yu Sui changed his expression faster than turning a page. He stared coldly at Bao Zaoshu. "But everyone here saw you attack me just now. We have both witnesses and physical evidence."
Chen Huo forcibly suppressed the urge to strangle this Bao Zaoshu on the spot and said, "The door was open earlier. I figure the hallway surveillance must have caught some of it. That moment you attacked Yu Sui—we have both the witnesses and the evidence."
"Let's go to the hospital first. I'll take you." The Wild Buffalo captain was sweating bullets. He stepped forward toward Yu Sui. "Forget everything else for now—let's make sure your back is okay…"
"Not urgent." Yu Sui's lips were pale, but his tone was as steady as ever. "We should still get today's matter sorted out first. Puppy, go find the owner and get the surveillance footage."
Puppy agreed but didn't move. Instead, he continued watching the Wild Buffalo players warily, ready to prevent anyone else from starting something—they were outnumbered and would be at a disadvantage.
The Wild Buffalo captain glanced at Puppy and understood that Yu Sui wanted to settle this privately. He steeled himself and said, "We're about to enter the playoffs. If this really gets out, it's bad for everyone. So, how about we…"
"What do you mean 'bad for everyone'?" Yu Sui fixed his gaze on the Wild Buffalo captain, squinting slightly. "Shi Luo didn't throw punches. I didn't throw punches. What are we afraid of?"
Bao Zaoshu still hadn't figured it out, still raging and shrieking. "He threw punches! Shi Luo threw punches!!!"
The Wild Buffalo captain wished he could snap Bao Zaoshu's head clean off!
Yu Sui looked at Bao Zaoshu and couldn't help but laugh. "You can shout even louder if you want."
"Will you shut up?!!" The Wild Buffalo captain now just wanted to flush Bao Zaoshu down the toilet. He had no choice but to cautiously negotiate with Yu Sui. "We'll cover all medical expenses, that's a given. And… I promise, what happened today will absolutely, definitely not get out. I'll handle the hotpot restaurant—they have surveillance inside, and any videos the staff might have filmed… it'll all be taken care of. I promise, today can die right here in this bathroom. Once we walk out that door, no one will ever know. Deal?"
Yu Sui's expression softened slightly. He looked at Bao Zaoshu.
The Wild Buffalo captain hesitated and said, "Bao Zaoshu… one match suspension."
Yu Sui scoffed.
The Wild Buffalo captain gritted his teeth. "Bao Zaoshu suspended for the entire playoffs, plus a full quarter's salary deducted."
Bao Zaoshu howled in disbelief. "Why?! Shi Luo threw punches too! Why doesn't he get suspended or fined?!"
"Just because Whisper took that hit from you!!!" The assault player from Wild Buffalo couldn't take it anymore. He stepped forward to cover Bao Zaoshu's mouth, hissing through gritted teeth, "Are you really trying to destroy yourself and this whole team?! If this really gets out, you threw punches at Shi Luo AND threw punches at Yu Sui. The league can strike you from the registered players list! You want to retire?!"
Bao Zaoshu froze, his forehead instantly beaded with cold sweat.
He was a rookie too—he didn't know how severe the punishment for violent incidents could be. But he wasn't ready to give up yet, his voice weak. "But Shi Luo definitely threw punches…"
"You should be grateful Shi Luo threw punches!" The Wild Buffalo assault player was ready to strangle this idiot. "If he hadn't thrown punches, do you think FS would've swallowed this and settled this privately with you?! You just threw something at YU SUI!! You really think he was backing down because he was afraid of trouble? He was protecting Shi Luo from getting punished, you moron!!"
Bao Zaoshu finally calmed down slightly, fear creeping in. He didn't dare speak another word.
Chen Huo forced down his anger. "Everyone… everyone here fought their way to a first-tier team, and that wasn't easy. If you've got nothing better to do, don't go looking for trouble. You can get yourselves killed, but don't drag our FS members down with you. That's it for today. Yu Sui… is going to the hospital."
Yu Sui said, "Go copy the surveillance footage. We're not leaving until we have it."
Puppy glanced at Yu Sui uneasily. Once he was certain there wouldn't be another fight, he went to find the hotpot restaurant owner.
Chen Huo shot the Wild Buffalo group a cold look. "Right, take the surveillance with us. Can't be too careful with them."
A short while later Puppy returned. Yu Sui, Chen Huo, and Puppy headed out. Yu Sui's t-shirt was soaked through with sweat. Puppy fretted, "You okay? Need me to carry you? Get in the car."
Yu Sui shook his head. "Let them take their car. Have Old Qiao take Shi Luo back to base… We'll take a taxi."
Chen Huo was confused. "We were in such a rush to get to the hospital, why are you taking a taxi?"
Puppy understood. "Right… oh, you still don't get it? If Shi Luo showed up at the hospital now, wouldn't that be awkward? Everyone needs to cool down for a bit."
Puppy flagged down a cab. Chen Huo slapped his forehead, quickly helping Yu Sui into the car.
At the hospital, after blood tests and imaging, Chen Huo sucked in a sharp breath when he saw Yu Sui's bare back. There was a whole area of bruised blood under the skin—it looked shocking.
But Yu Sui was lucky. The results came back quickly—no bone damage, just soft tissue contusion.
Yu Sui finally relaxed. He couldn't help but curse: "Motherfucker, this hurts like hell…"
When the doctor confirmed it wasn't serious, Chen Huo breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, good. That's good."
The doctor looked at these three boys who couldn't have been older than his own grandsons and said coldly, "What do you mean 'that's good'? Do you have any idea how dangerous that spot on your back is? One wrong move and you could've cracked a rib. That location, you can't even brace it properly—what if you'd injured your spine?"
Yu Sui obediently took the lecture, but in his heart, he really wanted to record the doctor's words to play back to Shi Luo later. Fighting through the pain, he said, "You're absolutely right."
"You're still so young, getting into fights for no reason—don't you know how worried your parents would be?!" The doctor shot Yu Sui a glare. "It's late at night. Wouldn't it be better to go home early? Do you have any idea how upset your mom and dad would be seeing you like this?"
Yu Sui lowered his head and smiled. "Yeah, if my mom found out, she'd probably be heartbroken… Can't tell her."
The doctor wasn't satisfied. "You need to be hospitalized today. Not tell her? You can't even have a guardian come?"
"My guardian…" Yu Sui was flustered into a laugh. "It's fine, I can take care of myself. Can you please just let me lie down? It really hurts."
The old doctor gave some more instructions about care precautions, then had the nurse go handle the admission procedures.
Half an hour later, Yu Sui finally got his wish and lay face-down on the hospital bed.
The night shift nurses were a few young girls. Yu Sui felt awkward about swearing in front of them, so the whole time during the IV and medication changes, he cursed silently in his head. It was a miracle he didn't give himself internal injuries again.
Puppy frowned. "This whole disaster—what's with you? Shi Luo, looking at him, clearly grew up getting into fights. A few hits wouldn't have been a problem. Why did you have to… Yu Sui, have you noticed you're being a little too good to him?"
"My own fault. Happy now? This is some seriously bad luck." Yu Sui was sweating through the pain. "Not a word of today to anyone… you hear me?"
"You're a little late on that one." Puppy, who was peeling an apple for Yu Sui, silently glanced at his phone. "Old Qiao already told your guardian."
Yu Sui nearly sat up. Puppy added, "Not your parents. He told the boss."
Yu Sui relaxed. He frowned. "Why does Old Qiao have to involve himself in this… Our captain's swamped with work right now. No need to tell him. Everything's already been handled."
An hour ago, Ji Yanhan, who had been pulling his hair out in a meeting, had one hand pressed over one ear while trying to hear his phone with the other, shouting loudly, "What did you say? Who got into a fight with who? Speak up!"
After hearing Old Qiao's explanation, Ji Yanhan almost thought he'd gotten dizzy from overwork and was hallucinating.
Ji Yanhan walked to a quiet spot in the hallway, utterly incredulous. "Are you saying…"
"Three healers… You're sure it was three healers, not some other class?"
"And these three healers… got into a fight in the bathroom of a hotpot restaurant?"
"And it got bloody?"
Ji Yanhan was frantic with anger. "Are you out of your minds?! Three medics staying up late at night, gathering in the bathroom of a hotpot restaurant to throw punches at each other?!"
At the hospital, Puppy sighed. "I have to say, the medics on our team are all fierce ones. This is the first violent incident since FS was founded, and the participants were our starting medic AND our reserve medic. It's really quite something."
Chen Huo, who had long been overshadowed by Yu Sui when it came to taking kills, said gloomily, "Thanks. I really, absolutely am not surprised at all."
Puppy sighed. "What's that phrase again? There's a saying that praises this kind of behavior…"
Yu Sui lay on the hospital bed, enduring the pain while playing a mobile game to distract himself. "…Not loving rouge, loving guns."
"Right, right, right." Puppy nodded. "Healers' daughters have extraordinary aspirations! Not loving rouge, loving guns—that's exactly you two."
Puppy got curious. "Can I interview you guys? When you normally do support for us, is there a ton of resentment building up inside? This resentment gradually accumulates, gradually accumulates, and then today…"
"Definitely." Chen Huo said gloomily again. "Puppy, have you noticed—Yu Sui's computer screensaver is a single character: 忍."
Chen Huo turned to Yu Sui. "I've always wanted to ask but never dared. But I always felt like that 忍 character had a lot to do with me."
"You guessed right." Yu Sui kept playing his game as he said calmly. "I have to look at that 忍 character ten thousand times a day to keep myself from committing bloodshed at the base. Now I can't see that screensaver—I'm very likely about to lose my restraint. You two sure you still want to provoke me?"
Chen Huo and Puppy thought about the murderous aura radiating from the medical duo of Yu Sui and Shi Luo back at the hotpot restaurant, shut their mouths, huddled together, and didn't say another word.
