# Chapter 48: Castle Exploration (Part 6)
Before them spread a expanse of red. This room was enormous—nothing like any of the rooms on the second floor. Unlike the simple furnishings in the others' quarters, this one had everything: bedside tables, ornate chandeliers, rows of shelves, a recliner, and more. What was even more astonishing was that within this room were more rooms—three doorways leading to separate spaces in different directions.
The reason they called it a bridal chamber was the large double-happiness character plastered on the wallpaper behind the double bed. All the decorations inside were red. Around the bed hung a circle of crimson curtains, and red roses sat on the bedside tables, their rich floral fragrance filling the room with romance. The floor too was a deep red, covered with soft carpeting that would cushion any accidental fall.
Every substantial decoration had a happiness character pasted on it.
A particularly large wedding photo stood in the room. The two people in the picture wore matching traditional wedding attire. But their faces, just like the figures in the mural on the second floor, were obscured by thick black fog, completely concealing their features.
"This room..." Mu Gangnong's expression turned oddly complex. He lowered his head to look at the shoes on Qi An's feet, brow furrowed. "Do you want to come stay with me instead? This room should be the villa owner's private chamber. If you stay here, you might..."
Provoke him.
The final words Mu Gangnong didn't speak aloud. He watched the still-confused youth for a moment. Due to his weakness and lack of flesh on his face, Qi An's chin was somewhat pointed. When he微低着头, all his features hidden, his chin became increasingly prominent.
Pointed, small, making one want to pinch it.
His skin was so delicate that with just a light touch, his chin would probably turn red, wouldn't it?
Red appearing on white skin—it seemed rather beautiful too.
Realizing he'd thought such things again, the sturdy youth's expression shifted slightly. An image that could be called rather sensual automatically formed in his mind.
"噗嗤——"
The lights in this room, seemingly due to some electrical issue, suddenly flickered on for an instant, then kept flashing. The wall behind the light fixtures remained pure white, as if newly renovated.
Mu Gangnong's expression immediately darkened. He scanned his surroundings, and finding nothing amiss, his expression grew serious. Seemingly thinking of something, he tried saying, "Since you picked those slippers, according to our agreement, you stay here."
The moment he spoke those words, the lights suddenly went out, and the room returned to its proper brightness.
Mu Gangnong's expression shifted again. "...Be careful."
After saying this, he hurried to take his leave. Qi An watched him politely as he descended the stairs, just in time to hear a rather shrill male voice cursing.
"Who'd even want to stay in this room? Even ghosts wouldn't愿意住吧!"
Qi An raised an eyebrow, standing at the stairwell to look at the speaking boy. It was a yellow-haired punk, standing at his own doorway, kicking and pounding at the door in frustration. The already rickety door shook with each blow.
Once he started, the complaints grew louder and louder. All this racket came from the second team. In the first team, besides Mu Gangnong who had accompanied Qi An upstairs, no one else seemed to care about their shabby accommodations, returning silently to their rooms and tuning out these sounds.
Downstairs, Mu Gangnong watched them coldly, his expression unchanged as he walked to Zhang Zhaoqi, who stood before the mural. The expressionless youth stared unblinkingly at the ornate painting, as if lost in deep thought.
"What are you looking at?" Remembering how close Qi An and Zhang Zhaoqi were, Mu Gangnong asked her.
"This painting." Zhang Zhaoqi's gaze fell on the hidden center of the painting, something flickering in her eyes. But upon hearing Mu Gangnong's voice, she quickly turned her head, fixing him with a cold stare. "Stay away from Qi An."
Mu Gangnong furrowed his brow. It had been a long time since anyone dared speak to him like that. But the next second, his gaze sharpened.
The black fog in the center of the painting suddenly moved.
It shifted slightly to the side, and faintly, a human shape could be discerned.
"So it's actually a person?" Mu Gangnong murmured quietly. "A person that all the things in the painting are fond of... Who could it be?"
After watching the chaotic scene below for a while, Qi An returned to his room just like the first team members. Looking at the double bed facing the opened door, Qi An thought for a moment, then naturally lay down on it.
The bed was soft; his body sank into it immediately, leaving an impression.
[If I fall asleep later, record what happens while I'm sleeping.]
No sooner had he lain down than Qi An spoke to the system.
